As the founder of Confidence in Cannabiz, I have been a medical marijuana patient for almost a decade now, absolutely loving the benefits that marijuana continuously gives. (Watch the full video about my first time smoking cannabis here.) Whether it is anxiety, depression, loss of appetite or boredom, cannabis is a powerful herb that has helped me day after day. I am what my husband describes as a "functional stoner" and use marijuana throughout the day in many forms to keep balanced and relaxed!
When I first became a patient I even learned how to grow my own medicinal plants, and experiencing that whole process was really unique! Here are the top 3 ways I use cannabis on a day-to-day basis now:
1. Morning Loss of Appetite: I don't know about you but in the morning with kids schedules and showers and workouts and stress, everything blends together before 11am and I just forget to eat. If I wake up a bit earlier than planned and smoke a joint or take a few hits from a bong, I am usually hungry when the rest of the family wakes up, and I don't have to worry about a separate eating schedule for myself.
2. Long Afternoon Hike: If you're going out hiking on a Saturday or heading out for a long walk, cannabis can be great to clear your mind. You can take a small wax pen in your pocket and take a few hits out in nature.
3. Before Bed: If you're having trouble sleeping at all, I highly suggest trying CBD (if not THC) to increase your ability to tire out. It works wonders for me. I have slept like a baby for as long as I can remember since using cannabis.
